Spike

spike was a rescue pitbull raised and abused in newark, nj. he and i clicked immediately. he was my little shadow. he thrived in my care, ran circles through my large fenced yard, ducking through and around the thirty pine trees, tormenting his two dog friends (rottweilers, no less). unfortunately, spike's bad breeding and early abuse got the worst of him. he was snappish and unpredictable. sadly, he bit my husband and from there, he was doomed. we tried to train him out of his quirky personality but were not successful. i sent him over the rainbow bridge last august. for all his faults, he was a great dog. i loved him very much and miss him.
