Cartouche

We have had our precious dog for 15 years. Her name was Cartouche. As a daschund, she loved to go to the cottage and find mice; she was an expert at it; we always said to her that she wasn't a cat and laughed about it....

We got her when our son was 6 years old and he is now 21. It seems that she wanted to be with us until our son was an adult and no longer needed to protect him. After all, we hear that daschunds don't normally live this long...

She was a member of our family and we loved her very much. Our house feels so empty without her now. However, we know that she is in dog heaven with her cousin dogs. She was the best; she loved us as much as we loved her. She may be gone in presence, but she will live on forever in our hearts and minds.
