Sabor
In the year 1989, we moved to Las Vegas. My son was a year and a half, and lonely and
in need of some companionship. I put an ad in the paper for a dog, specificlly an akita or
like. I got many calls, but i recieved a call from a police officer and his wife,
who had an akita named Sabor.
he had hurt another dog of theirs, and needed to find him a new home. We decided to go
look at him, and we were not disapointed. he was a very beautiful black brindle and white.
He worked his way into our hearts very Quickly. He and my son Ronnie became the best of friends
and remained so for Eight and a half years, until he was diagnosed with a tumor that was
deep in the ear, and we were told that it most likely had spread to his brain.
We had to decide right then wether or not to put him to sleep.
I always promised my pets that I would not let them suffer, and when the quality
of life had gone, I would be there for them. I had to be strong, not just for me and my
husband, but most of all my son. He was only 9 years old at the time,
and it was not an easy task. Sabor was the most loyal dog I ever knew.
This will give us a place to visit him, as at the time I didnt know a bout creamation,
and we never recieved his remains.
We love you Sabor, some day we will be together again.
love, Kathy, Dave, and Ronnie, your "Brother."
