Jake
To our Jake...we expected to have you for many more years, but when we got home from work today (December 6, 2001) you were a very sick boy. We rushed you to the vet but there was no hope and you closed your big brown eyes and went to sleep.
You were born April 12, 1996 along with your 9 brothers and sisters. Your mom Darcy is our beautiful Golden Retriever and you dad is our Remo, a boxer mix. You were the chubbiest of the puppies from day one! And you had these sad eyes that we couldn't resist. We were supposed to keep one puppy, but we ended up with three because we couldn't make up our minds. You were raised with your sisters Heather (your very best friend) and Jesse; and your mommy and daddy dogs...and all of them are left behind to wonder where you are.
You grew big and fast and at your top weight last year you were almost a hundred pounds! But you had slimmed down and were such a handsome guy.
You loved to jump and play, chase sticks and run out in the fields with us. You would follow the four-wheeler close to the rear left wheel...you were taught to "heel" when you were young and that is how you ran along beside us. You loved water and swimming and going for rides in the car.
We will miss you so much, Jakey. We know you are at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us now. We will see you someday, big guy.
Love, Mom & Dad,
Daddy Remo, Mommy Darcy,
Heather, Jesse,
and all your cat bothers and sisters.
