Desiree' Asuncion
1 June 1996 to 27 October 2001
Oh sweetheart Desiree' your leaving us so unexpectedly is a heart
breaker for la familia Asuncion. Your "sister" Punkin misses you just
as much and is forever waiting for you to come home from the vet.
Ms. Desiree' was a former Pomeranian show dog recently retired from the
show ring. Much of her life was lived in a kennel. But the last
hundred days of her life were lived in a real home with lots of love,
her own spaces, good food (no kibbles!) and medical care. She shared
her new forever home with a kennel mate, Punkin, who was also retired
from the show ring. The two were like peas in a pod. They ate
together, played together, bugged their people together, groomed each
other as though they were kissing each other. When they wanted food
they would stand shoulder to shoulder and bug favourite master or mommy
until they got what they wanted. Whatever Ms. Desiree' and Ms. Punkin
wanted, they got!
Oh Ms. Desiree' we had hoped and prayed that we would have you for many
years to come. Fate it seems had other ideas and cut us so short. Two
days after routine dental and spay something went terribly wrong and
you left us much, much too soon. We are all shocked and grieved and
feel so very guilty for what happened. We pray that at Rainbow Bridge
you have met Princess Asuncion (star61) and Master Smoky (star 63).
One distinctive feature about you were your famous rolling eyeballs.
Oh how people would laugh and be thrilled when they saw those famous
Desiree' eyes. But now there will be no more famous rolling eyeballs.
Oh this house feels so empty without you. There is Punkin to comfort.
But she misses her sister Desiree' so much. Mom has decided to have
your earthly remains cremated so that in a certain sense you will
always be home. But we know that you are now in your forever Rainbow
Bridge meadows playing with Princess and Master Smoky and all those
other beloved pets who came before you. And you are now free of your
earthly pain. Rest in peace at the Bridge oh beloved one, beloved Ms.
Desiree'
Asuncion until we shall all meet once again and live happily ever
after.
Love and kisses,
La familia Anthony Asuncion
