Violet
IN MEMORY
VIOLET (Wee Heart's Violet Sloan)
Oct 10, 1988--Oct 14, 2001
Violet was the smartest dog that I, or anyone else that knew her, had ever
had the pleasure to know. She was a pom who died just 6 days before her 13th
birthday. Vi was a tough little dog who loved to bark. I always said that she
barked when she was happy, she barked when she was sad. Vi also barked when
she was hungry and when she just wanted a treat. For attention, she also danced in a
circle until she received a treat.
Vi was perfectly healthy until Christmas 2000, when my husband accidently stepped on her leg. She was watching him decorate the tree and he was stepping backwards to view the lights. The vet then did a blood test and learned that she had beginning liver disease. Over the next 10 months, she developed heart disease and congestive heart failure. Because of the lasix, her kidneys became problematic. At 4:30 am on a Sunday she had a stroke and the vet met us at the office and eventually took her home with her. I received a phone call later that day relaying the tragic news--our Vi Vi was gone forever. She will buried today next to her wonderful Chow sister, Friday.
She was a tough, lovable girl and I will always miss her. Her sister, Lily, remains to comfort me until I can find another Pom.
I love you Violet. The Lilys that I plant over your grave will always remind me of you. I will miss you forever.
Mary
