DeDe

born Feb 17, 1990 - died April 10, 2001

Hi - My name is Midget and I'd like to tell you about my Big Sister DeDe. I'm the little blonde and white guy in this picture.

I came to live with my family when DeDe was 3 years old and she was so afraid of me that she hid under the coffee table when we met. She didn't know what that little bundle of fur was but she and I became fast friends. Mom said when DeDe was a puppy she would climb up Daddy's belly and chest and sit on his shoulder and suck on his ear. (Didn't she know where milk comes from?)

She was a great Big Sister, we did everything together.

We slept with Mom an Dad every night when DeDe and Daddy would be having a contest to see who could snore the loudest. Sometimes DeDe won.

DeDe and I are Shih Tzu and DeDe's tongue was always sticking out, more so when she was sleeping. Mom and Dad called her a Tongue Puppy.

A year and a half ago DeDe started to drink a lot of water. Mom took her to the Vet and was told she had Cushings Disease. Mom and Dad tried their best to save DeDe but 4 weeks ago she started to eat a lot of food also. DeDe's pills didn't help anymore and finally we had to say Good Bye.

I miss my sister a bunch. I used to cuddle her when she was sick. I was hoping I could help her and protect her but I wasn't big enough.

I'll never forget my DeDe and I know Mom and Dad will too. (They cried a lot when she died.) But I'm getting a new Little Sister named Karli.

Good Bye DeDe, we will miss you and never forget you. Keep an eye on us from above and we will meet again.
