Smokie

Out DogStar was Smokie and he is still running the backyard when we cut the grass or plant. He is still a part of our holidays, especially the 4th of July. Five days before the 4th in '95 he had major surgery for a torqued stomach, he was home and running on the 4th.

At 14 yrs old, the surgery gave him 2 more years of life, until on the 3rd of July '97 we had to give him recuperation from severe hip problems and arthritis.

It was a very sad 4th that year, but he still lives in our hearts forever.
