Wookie

She was our "pick of the litter". Our friend brought over all the puppies from his dog's litter, in the back of his van and told us to select the one we wanted. She was white and tan, and looked like a little fuzz ball. Her heritage was: terrier, poodle and ? We named her "Wookie" because it was during the Star Wars craze and she was so full of hair she was like the "Wookie" character on the movie.

She grew into a cute little long haired mop dog, with a high pitched bark and lots of spirit. Remember one day, after her first bath, we tried to use the blow dryer on her and she barked and tried to bit it. She was able to jump up into my arms upon command and loved to ride in my lap when in the car or our motorhome (she always went on vacation with us). She even went on a houseboat trip with the family on Mohave Lake, Az. She had a good time wading in the shallow water and chasing rocks when we tossed them for her. She was invited to a doggie birthday party once, where they wore hats, etc.. It was cute.

She was over 17 when I had to put her down and I miss her so much. She was a very sweet and lovable pet for many years. We truly got the "pick of the litter".
