Peanut

It is with great big tears rolling down my cheeks that I tell you all that Peanut the Pookie Puppy Dog passed away quietly and painlessly in my arms at 1:25 this afternoon (May 5, 2000).

She stuck by us all in a year that we desperately needed her comfort and cuddles, and will always have a huge part of our hearts.

Peanut was seventeen and a half years old at the end of April, and was the last of her era. She joins Nemo, Benji, Nicki, and Sandy at the Rainbow Bridge, where they will play endlessly to the delight of our angel baby Moiragh Lee.

Peanut has been with me for more than half of my life, and has always been there for me, I will miss her enormously.

To the Karens, thank you very much for bringing her into my life. To Sue, Buck, and Brian, thank you for all the wonderful back rubs and toys you gave her,

To Craig, Pat, and Nancy, thank you for always taking care of her when Dan and I were away.

To mom and dad, thank you for all the years of 'doggy day care'.

And to my husband Dan, thank you for opening your heart and loving my dog as much as I do. You understood we were a package deal and accepted us that way.

I miss you already Peanie-pup.

Jan
