Max and Casey
Max and Casey were 2 wonderful yellow lab mix brothers that became part of our family in 1988. They were the best. One was always with the other, even when we went on vacations, we always had to keep them together.
They made us feel complete and everywhere we went we got comments about how cute they are and how good they were. I can't say enough about how great they were......
Then on Mother's Day '99 Max left us from what the vet thinks was Cancer. We were devestated and we think that Casey was even more so because a couple months later, August, he also left us and again the vet said it was Cancer....
The chain of events leading up to their last days with us were so very similar it was eerie. They had to be together in life as well as when they moved on to their Dogstar.........
I know they are still together and are waiting for us. Not a day goes by that I don't cry a little for them. We have since gotten another family member who has huge, huge shoes to fill, but she eases the daily pain. She was unwanted by two other families and was offered to us at out worst time, so I think that she was sent to us by God at a time when he knew we needed comforting over our loss.
We miss you guys and will see you again one day........................
