Nipsy
Today, I said good-bye
to my little sweetheart, NIPSY. I had had her for more than 6 years and
couldn't have loved her more if she had been a human child. But she had been
diagnosed with cancer in February and I felt it was time to end her
suffering. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
Nipsy was about 12
years old when I took her into my heart and my home. She was a
terrier/schnauzer mix and the sweetest little dog I have ever had. From the
very first day we lived together, she made a difference in my life.
Last
month, knowing my time with her was coming to an end, I spent $600 on a
camcorder and was, at first, uncertain if I should have spent that much. Well,
I got some great stuff on tape and now know that it was the best investment I
could have made.
I firmly believe in the Rainbow Bridge...a bridge between
here and heaven where all pets go to wait until they can meet their masters
on the way to heaven. My other dog, Suzi, is there and now Nipsy will be
there, waiting for me.
That is my consolation. She was the light of my life,
so I think it is fitting that she be given a star of her own.
