Sidney
This is our Sidney.
We adopted him when he was 5 and were lucky enough to have him for 3 years.
Sidney was the sweetest, most well behaved dog anyone could ever hope to have
known. There were times when I was sure he could read my mind. When he was
7 he was diagnosed with lymphoma and after hours of pros & cons, we finally
decided chemotherapy was the way to go. He responded so well to it that we
were sure we did the right thing.
He had the cutest habits - when he'd want a treat, he would take his hollow
bone and drop it into my lap for a "fill up". When one of us were out, he'd
sit at the front window waiting for us; when he saw the car in the driveway,
he'd start whimpering with excitement. He loved to play "monkey in the
middle" or "retrieve the ball & catch me to get it back". He'd wake us up
on Sunday morning with soft little noises that gradually go louder if we
didn't respond. (This was his job.)
Sidney blessed our lives for 3 years and we'll miss him for many years to
come.
