Chopper
Pork Chop alias "Chopper"
Born January 8, 1996
Died January 18, 1999
We lost our beloved Chopper about 3 months ago. We had his love for 3
years and 10 days. Chopper was born in our bedroom under the night stand
along with 5 brothers and sisters. He was a nut of a dog. He was funny
looking (multi-colored) and fat and he was allergic to flea bites and had
constant reoccurring ear infections. But he was so very loved. Chopper
loved to get loose and terrorize the neighborhood and that is what finally
got him. He got loose one day and killed the neighbors cat and the police
told us we had to put him to sleep. That is the hardest thing I have ever
had to do. It wasn't right in my mind that a dog that loved his family so
much would have to be put down. He was very loving to us but hated
strangers.
I have been told that there is someone waiting in heaven when
we get there to show us around and I believe that Chopper will be there
waiting for me. It helps some that we still have his brother and mother
with us but no one will ever replace Chopper in my heart and to this day
just sitting here writing about him I am in tears. People that don't have
pets can't understand the pain that someone goes through when they loose a
beloved pet it's like losing a piece of yourself.
Chopper if you can hear
me remember that we love you very much and there isn't a day that goes by
that we don't think of you. Ryan has your collar on his rearview mirror
and your tags on his keychain. I miss you the most when you aren't here to
welcome me home from work. You were always the first one at the door. All
you wanted was to be loved and Chopper we tried our best just remember that
we didn't want to loose you. Please don't blame Dad or I for this as we
loved you so very much and think about you all the time.
