Butch
Butch is dearly missed by Bonnie Sheppard Cutter. A few words:
Butch was the first born of his father - Nimo of Sterling - and mother -
Nimo's Little Miss Omni. His "given" name was Dante but his daddy nicknamed
him Butch (big name for a little dog!).
Butch was in the first litter; he had a sister, Krista, whom we lost in 1997
to a dental and he leaves behind his little brother "Duke" who is lost
without his big brother.
Butch was born March 3, 1982 and we lost him April 16, 1998. He was a
healthy 16 years old and had never been sick. We celebrated his 16th
birthday with balloons, cake and steak on March 3, 1998 and were even joking
about taking him to the Department of Motor Vehicles so he could get a
driver's license! March 10, 1998 he was having a little difficulty
breathing so he went to local vet. Between the local vet and a Veterinary
Referral Clinic, I spent over $800 and no one could tell me what was wrong.
I went to NC State Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, and they
had it within 24 hours. He had a tooth root abscess and the infection had
damaged his heart.
I miss his kisses that he so abundantly would give and his rip tearing
throughout the house. My husband always called him "hell raiser" because he
only knew one speed - and that was to the floor. He was a very special
little guy and he's left a big void in our family.
