Legs and tail slower
One fang lost to adventure
Eyes still game to go
Today 11/98
I dare not step here or there
I dare not tread in these vacant places
for fear of impropriety or disrespect
for fear of driving your soul away
no chair or plant should perch there
no wood or greenery should trespass
I leave these places as they are
as I am
